2x exp weekends

Well, I’d first like to say sorry for my recent lack of activity, I had been quite ill and am starting to finally feel better.

With that out of the way I got a lot of feedback this week in regards to 2x exp weekends. So as a community scout I am asking for you guys, the WYDians, to give me some ideas on what you would like to see happen.

I of course know that you want 2x exp back for a number of reasons, things are boring without water shares to attend and that it makes leveling more stressful without the shares. But what I am wondering is exactly what you want us to do? Do you want some sort of event again or are you wanting to possibly make 2x exp weekends a permanent event much like Battle of the Noobs has become? So I am asking you to leave me some comments here or on the forums regarding this matter.

On a much different note, I’d also like to ask for you academy members out there to give me some feedback on the new academy system, both positive and negative. Thanks.

New Academy System!

Well, this week brings with it the new academy system!

I’m sure you have seen the post on the main site already but if not here it is again:

New Academy System

The new Military Academy System will be divided into 4 Academy Guild, 1 guild per channel. There will be 3 shifts per day, 2 Operators per shift and 24 decent Operators in total.

These are the following Military Academy guild per server:

Server 1 ~ Alpha
Server 2 ~ Bravo
Server 3 ~ Charlie
Server 4 ~ Delta

Recruitment Time

• 01:00 ~ 2:00 Game Time
• 08:00 ~ 09:00 Game Time
• 18:00 ~ 19:00 Game Time

Operators Rules and Regulation:

• Any Operators are not allowed to trade items like scrolls, shouts that was provided by the GMs, except for their partners during their shift.
• Operators must click all the scrolls during their shift and the party must be full.
• Operators can only have 4 absences in a month.
o Operators must send excuse letter in Q&A section at least 1 hour before his/her shift.
• 3 tardiness is equivalent to 1 absent
• All operators will have 5 minutes grace period before their time
• Operators must be a role model to every wydian and to his academy members as well.
• Operators must cooperate to his/her partner during the shift to avoid redundant report in Q&A section.

Operators who failed to follow the rules and regulation will be given a proper sanction.

• Operators who traded the items to other player which provided by the GMs will be automatically kick from their position and banning their account for 7 days.
• Operators who made more than 4 absences within the month will automatically remove from their position without prior notice.
• Operators who exceeded in 5 minutes grace period will be considered as late.
• Operators who proven using improper language will be given proper sanction.
o Players who reported Operators in Q&A section more than 3 times using foul language with Screen shot attached on it will be kick from their position.
• Any Operators proven using scrolls in water N share will be remove in their position and blocked their account for 7 days.

Operators Salary:

Monthly Salary:
• 15k wcoins [Old Salary – 10k]
• 60 Million Gold [Old Salary – 50M]
• 10 Laktorerium Powders

• Every absent there will be a 5 % deduction on their 15k wcoins salary
• Any Operators with no absent/s within a month will get an extra additional of 25% on his 60 million gold salaries.
• Any Operators that can make/create his/her own blogs about the game (WYD Global) that particular operator will get an extra 10% on his 60 million gold and additional 10 pieces of Laktorerium Powder at the end of the month. Blogs must be updated at least every week. Any operators need to send the link of their blog in Q&A section.

Weekly Salary:

• 5 pieces of Laktorerium Powder
• 5 pieces of Oriharukon Powder

New Recruitment System

• Players need to choose carefully and wisely in what Academy they want to be recruited; because once a player was recruited in one academy he/she is no longer allowed to join in other academy.
• Personal Request from a Player to be recruited will not be entertained.
• Any players with a level 320 and below can join in Military Academy.
• Only main or unique account can be recruited in the Academy.
• Members are not allowed to use foul and improper language. Anyone caught or reported in Q&A section with attached Screenshot will receive corresponding punishment and will be kick from the academy.

Academy League:

Schedule:
Friday – 12:00 Game Time
Saturday – 22:00 Game Time
Sunday – 05:00 Game Time

Qualified Members to join:

• Beginners: Level 100 to 200 can join

• Advance: Level 201 to 300 can join

• Hardcore: Level 301 to 369 can join

Rewards:
• Beginners – 100 million Experience and 1 Laktorerium Powder
• Advance – 200 million Experience and 1 Laktorerium Powder
• Hardcore – 300 million Experience and 1 Laktorerium Powder
• 2 EXP Box + 10 water scroll N – for the Academy guild that can have 3 consecutive wins during the week.

Note: We will choose 24 decent Operators from the current Academy to stay and continue their work as in-game operators for this new Academy System, operators with the most outstanding performance will get a high chance to stay and continue their job as in-game Operators.

Okay, first off the shift times have changed and are only 3 times a day instead of the 4 times. The new times are 1 game time, 8 game time and 18 game time.

Operators are going to be cut back to a total of 24 operators and those with the best performance record have higher chances of keeping their jobs, also there will be more strict enforcement of operator rules and regulations, the punishments are listed above.

Operators pay has been increased, however not to what I personally think they should be paid, hopefully there will be another increase sometime soon

Once you join an academy you cannot join a different one, so make your decision carefully.

Lastly, a new reward for those who win three consecutive leagues during a week, 10 water N and 2 exp boxes! Which means no more begging for people to donate boxes! xD

Soul Guide for Mortals

I have had quite a few questions about the newly available soul of limits buff for mortals. After reaching level 371 you can obtain a Soul of Limit buff that increases your Stat point in accordance to your last skill. You need to get a Secret stone for the type of character you have, this information is given below.

Beastmaster – Land Secret Stone

After you get the secret stone simply goto the Civil Delegate on your server and she will give you your Soul of Limits buff at the cost of (1)Secret Stone.

Vanguard Bug

This post is for those of you who are in or were in Vanguard and may have been kicked out and had you cape changed.

This happened because there was a bug with the guild system which didn’t allow the guild leader to make any sub tags. The GM’s couldn’t fix the problem so they ended up deleting the guild and remaking it. If you were one of those who got their cape changed to blue just send a Q&A and the GM’s will correct the problem. After that just find a recruiter for Vanguard and join back up.

New Academy System

Well, if you haven’t heard about this already I will explain what I know so far.

The GM’s have stopped appointing new OP’s for the most part because of this upcoming change. The main changes are as follows:

Academies will now be made into two collective academies, one red and one blue. (The Hekalotia Academy and The Akeronia Academy)

Operators will now be called Generals and will be getting a pay raise as well as a unique weapon or cape.

Lastly, there will be wars between the two.

CS Behind the scenes

Well, this blog is inspired by the fact that my friends keep saying CS are over paid and that we do nothing! I would like to take some time to tell you some of the things that we do that you do not see, there are however some things I won’t be able to tell, so just keep in mind what I post here isn’t even all of what we do!

First off, there is the obvious interaction in game, if any of you have been op you will know that this alone can be quite a pain. While we love to help out and take suggestions there are still tons and tons of spammers. Now, some people aren’t sure what we do in game so I will attempt to enlighten you.

Each of us CS are assigned to different countries or languages and our jobs are to provide help when needed and to take any feedback or suggestions that players may not be able to communicate to the GM’s. So each week we come out in the community in game, and talk with you players to get a feel of how the community feels about how the game is going. On top of that we try to help new players get used to the game and tell them helpful hints and such. After each week, we then compile a report of all the feedback and suggestions and what not, and post it in our “ultra secret area.”

Now that alone can be quite a load of work in itself, but we also take part in drafting new event ideas and we take care of anything having to do with the community itself, thus the name Community Scout.

Drafting up new events may not sound like a lot but, it involves coming up with entire mechanics and trying to keep a creative edge on any new events.

Keep in mind, this CS system is relatively new still, and like all new things needs some refinement. I can’t tell exactly what, but there are more things to come so please keep this in mind when you feel that we are getting paid to much, we do work very hard! xD

Current Events

Character Restoration

Well, after talking to a few WYDians about this new event, I have come to the conclusion that some feel this new event is unfair, and some others are confused about this event.

This event is not going to transfer old SD characters to our WYD Global, this is giving those who lost their characters on SD a noob set, and a select few a God Pack. With that cleared up I can also relate to these feelings of this being unfair. Although it may feel unfair if say you have been saving for ever for a god pack or noob set, please try to relate to those who lost everything they worked hard to obtain. How would you feel if WYD shut down and you lost everything? I for one am just glad that they are not transferring items and/or chars to WYD since that would result in certain chaos.

WYD Extreme Water Event II

In this event those who attend any waters and kill the boss monsters have the chance of obtaining medals which are counted and prizes awarded. This time the prize is the ever famous griffin mount. All you must do is go to waters during the event period and get the kill for the bosses which will drop medals, blue for normal Water N and gold for mystic Water M.  This would be a great time to attend those academy waters

Note: If you log out or change servers any and all medals obtained thus far will disappear. Have no worry those medals are already counted and you will receive credit for these medals.

Note II: Wanting to buy medals? Do not do it, the only medals that are counted are those you obtain from the drop of the boss itself.

Test of Champions II

Yet another PvP event for WYDians to get involved in.  There will be two divisions for you to participate in, Mortals and Gods, and Celestial.  Registration for this event will be free of charge but no late registrations will be accepted. Each team must have five members and each team must have each of the four classes(BM, TK, FM, and HT).

Matches will be held Saturdays and Sundays from 22:00 to 24:00 game time. For more information check the official event section of the web site.

Lucky Pockets

This is just an event where any monster can drop a “lucky pocket” which can be taken to the gold dragon in Armia town and exchanged randomly for prizes like 200 wcoins, lak/ori scrap,  sapphire, and money envelope containing 500k gold.

This event is a good event for non-wcoiners to get in on since all it requires is hunting mobs.

Lastly, I’d like to remind you that from January 31 on, there will be modified exp and drop rates on weekends ^^

Lack of events for new players

Today, I am asking you, the WYDians, a question. That question is what would you guys like to see as far as events?

I feel almost as if all the events that are on going are favoritive toward players called “coiners” which are players who purchase wcoins to aid them in playing the game. I am asking you guys for ideas since it is hard to think of new events and I would also like to have an event that you guys like.

Now I want to talk about recent events. Just about all the chances to win anything good give a tremendous advantage to those who buy wcoins or who have a lot of gold, this I feel, should not be the case. I feel it is just morally wrong and unfair to give people who are better off to start with more stuff.  Please leave some comments and give me your feelings on the issue I do want to hear from you.

OP Pay and more

Today, I am resigning from my position as Academy operator for Canada Academy so I feel I should comment on Academies.

OP Pay and my plan

I’ll start out by the most obvious thing that comes to mind when I think of being an op, this may sound greedy, but anyone who has been or is an op will know what I mean. This is the OP pay of course, I mean our jobs aren’t exactly rocket science but it is sad that we get paid so little, and as a CS I will try to get this changed. My proposal is 10k coins per week or 40k a month and an addition 1k for each week of perfect attendence that month. Also the weekly pay should be raised from 5 laks and ori to 10 ori and 5 laks. For those of you that are OPs you will hopefully agree with me and show your support.

Br

Please, first of all, try to realize I’m not trying to be racist or stereotypcial in anyway. This, however, is too big of a problem to ignore. I thought the purpose of having academies for specific countries was so that peoples lingual barriers don’t affect gameplay, however I have seen Br, or Brasilian, players in just about EVERY academy in WYD. Now the fact that they are Br doesn’t bother me at all, however, the fact that some of them don’t speak anything but portuguese can get a bit iritating when they constantly spam “RECRUITE” or “PT”. I must have heard that 100s of times. Thankfully someone told me a very handy phrase, cala a boca.

63dmg and 28map :P

Well, I just feel like writing about the enormous increase of  63dmg and 28map weapons that have seemingly just appeared. Well for those of you who don’t know where these came from, its from the event where nell sells holiday boxes. The thing that gets me is how the price of a 28map kery went from 250mil+ for a +0 to ~50mil for a +7 xD
